Located in Highland Meadows Parkway | Windsor, Colorado

Figuring out who you are is hard.

Figuring out who you are in a world that says straight and cis is the only way to be can be exhausting, confusing, defeating, and infuriating.

You deserve a space to be fully you.

Maybe you have always felt like you didn’t quite fit in. Maybe this is something entirely new, and you are still trying to make sense of it.

Maybe you are searching for a word that describes how you feel, but putting a label on it feels scary because what if it changes again?

Maybe you feel caught between wanting to live as your authentic self and the fear of losing the safety you have worked so hard to maintain in this threatening world.

Maybe, for the first time, you feel a sense of relief because you have found an identity that fits, but you find yourself questioning: Now what? Where do you even start? How do you explore this part of yourself safely?

Whatever brought you here, one thing is clear: being at odds with who you are is exhausting.

The anxiety, the second-guessing, the overwhelming discomfort seeps into every part of your life. You want something to change, but the idea of what that might look like? That feels terrifying too.

No matter where you are in your process—whether you're questioning your sexuality, figuring out how to come out, or navigating relationships in an identity that finally feels right—you deserve a place where you don’t have to edit yourself.

Therapy can be that space. Let’s figure it out together.

Figuring out who you are is deeply personal, and there is no “right” way to do it.

Together, we can sort through your thoughts, unpack societal conditioning, and find the language and identity that feels most true to you. Coming out (whether to yourself, a partner, friends, family, or society) is not easy, and it is okay if you do not have all the answers right away.

Queer identity is not a one-size-fits-all experience. Some people realize they are LGBTQ+ early in life, while others do not come to terms with their identity until later. Some have known but never had the safety to be able to express it. Others may be in long-term relationships or marriages when they begin questioning.

No matter when you start questioning or how you start questioning, your identity and your process exploring it is valid.

LGBTQ+ counseling in Windsor, Colorado is a space where all of these experiences are acknowledged and affirmed. Whether you are a teenager feeling the weight of coming out, a young adult navigating the intersection of identity and relationships, or someone later in life grappling with change, your experience is valid.

If you are questioning your gender, sexuality, or even what labels feel right, it is okay to be in that space of exploration. If you have never had the language to describe yourself or are just beginning to unlearn societal expectations, you deserve support from someone who understands that identity can be both complex and evolving.

Why do I provide counseling for LGBTQ+ clients?

Growing up, I saw firsthand how some of my family members were judged for who they loved and how they identified. And unfortunately that judgment was not just coming from the outside world. It was coming from the very people who were supposed to love and support them. It was clear that family wasn’t always a safe space, and I quickly realized this wasn’t just a problem in my family. It was everywhere.

Now, in a time when LGBTQ+ rights and identities are being challenged in exhausting, disheartening, and scary ways, having a space where you can be fully yourself is more important than ever.

I also know that my privilege of being perceived as cis and straight means I do not have lived experience in many of the experiences you are facing. But what I do have is a deep commitment to learning, growing, and showing up in ways that support, affirm, and honor you.

Here’s what that looks like:

  • I’ve completed the Queer Competency Certification training and hold a certificate in gender, women, and sexuality studies.

  • I regularly consult with LGBTQ+ therapists and stay engaged in queer-focused books, forums, and research.

  • I’ve been working with LGBTQ+ clients for over a decade, helping couples and individuals navigate relationships, communication, and identity in a world that doesn’t always make it easy.

If you are looking for a therapist with lived experience, that’s not me. But if you are looking for someone who is always listening, learning, and actively working to support you, you’re in the right place.

  • I have had the honor of working with over 50 LGBTQ+ individuals and couples over the past 10 years. Some have been navigating the coming out process, some have simply needed access to letters for gender affirming care, and some have worked on concerns other than their identity and orientation but just needed a safe space to do so.

  • A 20-minute phone consultation is free.

The fee for a 50-minute session is $145.

The fee for a 90-minute session is $290.

If you would like to see if your sessions could be covered by your heath insurance provider, please reach out to them and ask about their "out of network coverage for mental health providers." I am happy to provide you with a superbill to submit to your provider.
